Create a Web Filter configuration in Apple Business
A Web Filter helps you restrict which websites users can visit. You can add up to 100 website addresses to block.
Note: The Web Filter doesn’t apply to personal devices.
You can also turn on the built-in Content Filter. When you do, you can exempt up to 100 websites from the built-in filter.
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to create, edit, and delete device configurations.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Devices > Configurations > All Configurations.
Select All Configurations, select Add
next to Web Filter
, then enter a name for the configuration.Choose the platforms to create the configuration for, such as:
iOS/iPadOS
visionOS
Choose one of the following:
Whether to turn on Website Access, then, if necessary, enter up to 100 website addresses.
Whether to turn on Content Filter, then, if necessary, enter up to 100 website addresses exempt from the Content Filter.
Select Save.
