Remove DC offset in Logic Pro for Mac
Some audio interface hardware can layer direct current (DC) over the audio signal. The resulting vertical shift of the waveform position is clearly visible in the Audio File Editor. DC offset can also cause crackling sounds at the start and end of the audio region during playback. Removing DC offset centers the waveform around the zero amplitude line.
Note: You cannot remove DC offset on Apple Loops, surround files, or regions on tracks where Flex Pitch is turned on. If possible, bounce the region in place and make the edits to the resulting audio file.
Remove DC offset
In the Logic Pro Audio File Editor, select the audio file, then choose Functions > Remove DC Offset.
