Download and delete magazines in Apple News

If you subscribe to Apple News+, you can manually download magazines to read offline in the News app.

Apple News+ is available only in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Learn what's available in your country or region.

How to download a magazine issue

If you see the cloud iconiCloud icon under a magazine issue, it's not downloaded to your device. To download a magazine:

  1. Open the News app.

  2. On your iPhone, tap News+ at the bottom of the screen. On your iPad or Mac, go to the sidebar and tap or click News+. If you don't see the sidebar, tap or click the Sidebar buttonNo alt supplied for Image.

  3. Tap or click My Magazines at the top of the screen to find the issue that you want to download.

  4. Tap or click the More buttonNo alt supplied for Image below the magazine cover.

  5. Tap or click Download Issue.

You can also download issues from a magazine's channel feed. Search for a magazine, tap or click the More buttonNo alt supplied for Image below the issue that you want to download, then choose Download Issue.

How to delete a magazine issue

  1. Open the News app.

  2. On your iPhone, tap News+ at the bottom of the screen. On your iPad or Mac, go to the sidebar and tap or click News+. If you don't see the sidebar, tap or click the Sidebar buttonNo alt supplied for Image.

  3. Tap or click Downloaded, then tap or click the More buttonNo alt supplied for Image under the issue that you want to remove.

  4. Tap or click Remove.

  5. Tap or click Remove Download.

How to download News content automatically

With an Apple News+ subscription, you can automatically download stories, magazine issues, puzzles, and more, then access them later — even without a Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
