How to download an issue
If you see under an issue, it's not downloaded to your device. To download an issue:
- Open the News app.
- On your iPad or Mac, go to the sidebar and tap or click News+. If you don't see the sidebar, tap or click the Sidebar button
. On your iPhone, tap News+ at the bottom of the app.
- Tap My Magazines to find the issue that you want to download. Or tap Catalog, then tap a magazine to see its issues.
- Tap or click the More button
below the cover.
- Tap or click Download Issue.
You can also download past issues from a magazine's channel feed. Search for a magazine, tap or click the More button below the issue that you want to download, then choose Download Issue.
Turn off automatic downloads
After you follow a magazine, new issues of the magazine automatically download to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac as long as your device is connected to the internet and to power, and has enough storage space.*
If you want to turn off automatic downloads on your iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap News.
- Turn off Download Issues.
On your Mac, go to News > Settings, then deselect "Automatically download issues."
*On your Mac, the News app needs to be open for new issues of magazines to automatically download.
Delete magazines
If storage space is limited, your automatic downloads delete after 30 days or sooner. To delete a magazine:
- Open the News app.
- On your iPad or Mac, go to the sidebar and tap or click News+. If you don't see the sidebar, tap or click the Sidebar button
. On your iPhone, tap News+ at the bottom of the app.
- Go to Downloaded, then tap or click the More button
under the issue that you want to remove.
- Tap or click Remove.
- Tap or click Remove Download.
