Configuring voice mail for iPhone (carrier specific)

Summary

This article explains how to configure iPhone sold by the carriers listed below to automatically dial your voicemail number when you tap voicemail or press and hold 1. If you have one of the the above carriers, use these steps to configure iPhone to automatically dial voicemail:

Tap Phone and dial the following alphanumeric string.

**5005*VM*voicemailnumber#

For example, if your mobile phone number is 0123456789, and your voicemail number is 0860123456789, you would dial from the keypad **5005*86*0860123456789#

You only need to do this once. iPhone will remember this number, even if you turn off iPhone. If you're not sure what your voicemail number is, check with your carrier.

To confirm the stored voicemail number, dial *#5005*VM#.

Now each time you tap Voicemail or press and hold 1, iPhone will dial your voice mail.

Note that Orange Switzerland customers can also access their voicemail by dialing 086[mobile phone number] (or +4186[mobile phone number] to access their voicemail internationally).
