Export a score from Logic Pro for Mac as MusicXML
MusicXML is an XML-based music notation file type that’s supported by many notation and music optical character recognition (OCR) applications and some music production applications. You can freely redistribute the MusicXML DTDs and XSDs used with MusicXML under the MusicXML Public License.
Many score writing programs (including Finale, Sibelius, and MuseScore) and Music OCR programs (including SmartScore and PhotoScore) can open and display MusicXML files. Some music sequencer programs (including Cubase, SONAR, and Rosegarden) can also open these files.
When Enable Complete Features is selected in Logic Pro > Settings > Advanced, you can export MusicXML files.
Export a score project in MusicXML format
In Logic Pro, choose File > Export > Score as MusicXML.
In the Save dialog, type a name for the exported file and browse to a location to save it.
Click Save.
You can also import a MusicXML file, play it, and view it in the Score Editor. For information, see Import MusicXML files to a Logic Pro for Mac project.
