Setup Assistant panes in Apple devices
You can have all Setup Assistant panes skipped using mobile device management (MDM) and Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager. Sometimes you may not want users to make specific choices about how their devices are initially configured. You may be able prevent users from initially configuring supervised Apple devices as long as they are enrolled in a mobile device management (MDM) solution and managed by Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager. The device must support the feature for configuration to be permitted. For example, if the device lacks support for Touch ID, the Touch ID setup screen won’t appear.
Consult your MDM vendor’s documentation to learn which Setup Assistant panes they support hiding from the user during setup.
Important: All options in Setup Assistant panes can be configured later by the user unless you also permanently restrict these features using your MDM solution with a restrictions payload in a configuration profile on the device.
