Parental Controls payload settings
Use the Parental Controls payload to control access to content, limit the amount of daily Mac use and restrict the hours when the Mac can be used.
Use of Siri and Dictation
Select whether users can use Siri and Dictation.
Hide profanity in Dictionary and Dictation
Profanity can be hidden from the Dictionary app and using Dictation won’t transcribe it.
If you hide profanity, these words aren’t shown in the Dictionary app in macOS or in the apps that use the word list.
When you enter URLs, start the URL with https:// or http://. If necessary, add separate entries for http:// and https:// versions of the same URL. These settings can’t be edited on an iOS or iPadOS device when an installed configuration profile contains content restrictions.
When users visit a site that’s blocked or filtered, a message appears in their web browser that tells them their access is restricted.
Limit access to websites
Select one of the following:
Add URLs to this list to permit access to certain websites, even if they’re considered adult by the automatic filter. If you leave this list empty, access is permitted to all non-adult websites except for those listed in Denied URLs.
Add URLs to this list to deny access to certain websites. Users can’t visit these sites even if they’re considered non-adult by the automatic filter.
Note: If a restriction contains denied URLs, then any URLs in the Allow URLs field that contradict the denied list are removed.
Specific Web Sites Only
Add the websites you want to give access to. Enter the URL of the website in the URL column. Enter the name for the bookmark in the Name column. The folder to which the bookmark should be added in Safari (for example, /Science/Geology/. If the folder doesn’t exist, the bookmark is added to the default bookmarks directory.
Select either weekdays or weekends.
Set the amount of time from unlimited to 8 hours, in 30-minute increments.
