Get started with Family Sharing
Family Sharing lets you and up to five other family members share access to Apple services, eligible purchases, an iCloud+ subscription, and more. You can even help locate each other’s missing devices. One adult family member—the organizer—invites other family members to participate. Family members can then join and choose which features they want to use like sharing purchases or helping find each other’s lost devices.
Family Sharing is also where parental controls* start. When you create a Child Account for your child and add them to your family group, you can customize age-based protections and get the tools to manage their device from your own.
Create a Family Sharing group
You only need to set up Family Sharing on one device. Then it’s available on all your devices that are signed in to the same Apple Account.
Go to the Settings app (or System Settings if you’re on a Mac).
Select your name, then tap or click Family.
Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Family Sharing group.
