Choose apps and people to always allow on your child’s device
Always Allowed lets you choose apps and contacts that stay accessible to your child even when other apps are paused if they’ve met their Time Allowance for the day. By default, essentials like FaceTime, Maps, Phone, and Messages are always available, so your child can reach you.
Open your child’s settings:
On iPhone or iPad: Go to the Settings app, tap Family, then tap your child’s name.
On Mac: Go to System Settings, click Family, then click your child’s name.
Tap or click Always Allowed, then do any of the following:
Allow an app or contact at all times: Tap or click Add Apps, Add People, or Specific Contacts, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Remove an app or contact: Tap or click the Edit or Remove button next to the app or contact.
