You can configure Logic Pro for Mac to open an audio region or file in an external sample editing app.
In Logic Pro, choose Logic Pro > Settings > Audio (or use the Open Audio Settings key command).
Click File Editor, then click Choose.
In the dialog, browse for the app, then click Choose.
In Logic Pro, choose Edit > Open in [external sample editor] from the Audio Track Editor menu bar (or press Shift-W).
The external sample editor opens, allowing you to perform edits on the audio file.
Save the file in the external sample editor, then switch back to Logic Pro.
The edited audio is updated in the Browser and main window, if regions based on the audio file are in use.
