Manage software instrument articulations in Logic Pro for Mac
If an Articulation Set is loaded, you can select between articulations using the Articulations pop-up menu in the plug-in window header. Some software instruments let you view the most recently played articulation in the plug-in interface as well.
Some Sampler instruments come pre-configured with specific sample groups identified by an Articulation ID. For more information on how Sampler uses Articulation IDs, see Sampler overview.
You can also view and change articulations using the Keyswitches view of the Smart Controls pane. In addition to getting a graphic view of the assigned keyswitches, you can use this view to enable or disable keyswitches, and change the octave and key where keyswitches are located.
In Logic Pro, click the Articulation pop-up menu in the plug-in header and choose from the available articulations.
When you choose a new articulation, it affects notes played live, but doesn’t change the articulation of previously recorded notes.
In Logic Pro, do one of the following:
In the Smart Controls pane, click the Keyswitches button.
If the articulations are spread over more than one octave of keys, click the mini keyboards above the keys to view different octaves of keyswitches.
