Use the Pixelmator Pro toolbar on iPad
The toolbar at the top of the Pixelmator Pro window includes commonly used controls.
Use the default controls in the toolbar
In Pixelmator Pro on iPad, do any of the following in the toolbar:
Show or hide the Layers sidebar: Tap
on the left.
Add a layer: Tap
, then choose a layer type to add (Empty Layer, Effects, Text, and so on).
Tap
on the right, choose View Options, then choose an interface element to show or hide (layers, rulers, grid, or guides).
Rename your document: Tap
next to the document name, choose Rename, enter a new name, then press Return.
View document info: Tap
, then choose Show Info to open an info window displaying document properties and metadata. You can also add descriptions and keywords in the info window.
Undo or Redo an edit: Tap
or
to undo or redo your most recent change.
Export or share an optimized image: Tap
to export and share an image or video to Photos, Mail, Messages, and other apps, or share it via AirDrop. You can also choose from a number of quick export formats. See Quickly export or share an optimized image.
Access quick actions: Tap
to quickly view info about the document, change the document setup and view, or open the Pixelmator Pro settings.
Customize the toolbar
You can add tool shortcuts to the toolbar at the top.
In Pixelmator Pro on iPad, drag down from the top of the screen to reveal the menu bar, then choose View > Customize Toolbar.
Do any of the following:
Add a tool to the toolbar: Drag an icon from the dialog to the toolbar.
Remove a tool from the toolbar: Drag an icon away from the toolbar.
Rearrange the toolbar: Drag an icon in the toolbar to a new position in the toolbar.
Restore the toolbar to default settings: Tap Reset in the dialog.
