Use text style presets in Pixelmator Pro on iPad
Text styles let you apply a number of text formatting options at once. Pixelmator Pro includes built-in text style presets, and you can easily create and save your own.
Add text using a text style preset
In Pixelmator Pro on iPad, select
in the Tools sidebar.
In the Type pane, tap the Text Styles pop-up menu at the top, then choose a preset (Title, Body, Caption, and so on).
Tap in the canvas to add a text box, then double-tap the text box, and begin typing.
Change the appearance of existing text using a text style preset
In Pixelmator Pro on iPad, select
in the Tools sidebar.
Do either of the following:
Select an entire text box: Select a text layer in the Layers sidebar.
Select part of a text box: Double-tap a text box in the canvas, then tap again and drag over the characters you want to change.
In the Type pane, tap the Text Styles pop-up menu at the top, then choose a preset.
The style is applied to the selected text.
Manage text style presets
You can save new text styles, or modify existing ones.
In Pixelmator Pro on iPad, select
in the Tools sidebar.
In the Type pane, tap the Text Styles pop-up menu at the top, then do any of the following:
Save a new text style: Tap Edit, then tap
, and type a name for the text style. Pixelmator Pro creates a new text style using the formatting of the currently selected text.
Rename a text style: Tap Edit, tap a text style in the list, then type a new name and tap OK.
Redefine a text style: Swipe left on a text style in the list, then tap Redefine. The selected text style is updated to reflect the formatting of the currently selected text.
Delete a text style: Tap Edit, then tap
next to a text style.
Important: If you want to use custom presets created in an earlier version of Pixelmator Pro (Pixelmator Pro 3.7 or earlier), you must export them from the earlier version, then import them into Pixelmator Pro 4.0.
