Add text in Pixelmator Pro on iPad
You can add basic text to a document using the Type tool.
Create a basic text layer
In Pixelmator Pro on iPad, tap
in the Tools sidebar.
Do either of the following to add a new text layer:
Tap in the canvas to add placeholder text (“Text”) in a free text box—a rectangle that automatically resizes to show all the text you enter. To force text to break to a new line, drag either of the two handles on the box inward.
Drag in the canvas to add placeholder text in a bounded text box—a rectangle that doesn’t automatically resize to accommodate text. When a bounded text box contains additional text that isn’t visible, a clipping indicator appears at the bottom. To resize a bounded text box (to show more or less text), drag any of the eight handles.
To customize the text, double-tap the placeholder text, then begin typing.
When you’re finished typing, tap outside the text box.
