Mark items as favourites in Apple Music on Windows
You can mark items as “favourites” in Music to make them easier to find. If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can get notifications on new releases from your favourite artists and easily get back to their music from the Home screen.
Note: Apple Music isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Add items as favourites
In the Apple Music app on Windows, do any of the following:
Add a favourite album: Select Recently Added or Albums in the sidebar, select an album, select the More button for the album, then choose Favourite.
Add a favourite song: Select Songs in the sidebar, move the pointer over any song, select the More button for the song, then choose Favourite.
When you mark a song as a favourite, it appears in the Favourite Songs playlist (below Playlists in the sidebar). Additionally, it’s automatically added to your library.
To add songs as favourites without adding them to your library, select the Sidebar Actions button at the top of the sidebar, choose Settings, select Advanced, select the Show arrow , then turn off Favourites below “Add songs to Library when adding to”.
Add a favourite playlist: Select a playlist in the sidebar, select the More button for the playlist, then choose Favourite.
Add a favourite artist: Select Artists in the sidebar, select an artist, then select the Favourite button to the right of their name.
If you subscribe to Apple Music and you add artists as favourites, you automatically receive notifications when they release new music.
