
Set up iCloud on all your devices
You need to set up iCloud on each of your devices and sign in to them with the same Apple ID and password.
Once you set up iCloud, you can choose what data you store in iCloud by turning features on or off.
Note: If you don’t have an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, you can still use some iCloud features on iCloud.com. See the Apple Support article Web-only access to iCloud.
Set up iCloud on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the Settings app, then tap “Sign in to your [device].”
Enter your Apple ID and password. If you don’t have an Apple ID, follow the onscreen instructions to create one.
Tap iCloud, then turn on the iCloud features you want to use.
Set up iCloud on a Mac
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
> System Preferences, then do one of the following:
macOS 10.15 or later: Click Sign In, enter your Apple ID and password, then click iCloud.
macOS 10.14 or earlier: Click iCloud, then enter your Apple ID and password.
If you don’t have an Apple ID, follow the onscreen instructions to create one.
Turn on the iCloud features you want to use.
Set up iCloud on an Apple Watch or Apple TV
Do one of the following:
Apple Watch: When you pair an Apple Watch with your iPhone or set up an Apple Watch for a family member, some of the information stored in iCloud can be accessed on the Apple Watch. See the Apple Watch User Guide.
Apple TV: See Set up your Apple ID on Apple TV in the Apple TV User Guide.
Set up iCloud on a Windows computer
After you set up iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, you can set it up on a Windows computer.
Download the iCloud for Windows app.
If you have Windows 10, you can find iCloud for Windows in the Microsoft Store. If you have Windows 7 or Windows 8, you can download iCloud for Windows from the Apple website. See the Apple Support article Download iCloud for Windows.
Enter the Apple ID and password you used to set up iCloud on your Apple device.
Turn on the features you want to use, then click Apply.
