What’s new in Final Cut Pro 10.6.6 for Mac
Final Cut Pro 10.6.6 introduces new features and enhancements, detailed below.
Final Cut Pro for iPad import
Import a project created in Final Cut Pro for iPad, and take advantage of blazing performance, advanced color correction tools, and more. See Import into Final Cut Pro for Mac from Final Cut Pro for iPad.
Automatic color management
Easily edit HDR and SDR clips in the same project, with intelligent tone mapping of video to match your color space. See Use automatic color management and Color Conform in Final Cut Pro for Mac.
Dynamic content
Choose from a new collection of professionally designed titles, effects, transitions, and generators to enhance the look of your videos.
See the following topics:
Color Adjustments effect
Use the powerful and easy-to-use Color Adjustments effect for color correction. It’s designed for adjustments to HDR content, but you can use it to adjust color in SDR content as well. See Use the Color Adjustments effect in Final Cut Pro for Mac.
Color presets
Apply color presets to quickly give your clips a particular look. See Use color presets in Final Cut Pro for Mac.
Apple ProRes RAW plug-in
Install a ProRes RAW plug-in from a camera manufacturer to view and adjust ProRes RAW camera settings optimized for that manufacturer’s camera sensors. See Use a camera manufacturer’s ProRes RAW plug-in.
Scene Removal Mask effect
Use the Scene Removal Mask to remove the background behind a subject—without the need for a green screen. You can then replace the background with a different image or insert a title between the foreground and background. See Use the Scene Removal Mask in Final Cut Pro for Mac.
HDR chroma keying
Use the updated, HDR-optimized Green Screen Keyer effect to isolate a foreground subject from a blue screen, green screen, or other chosen range of color; or use the updated, HDR-optimized Luma Keyer effect to generate mattes based on a selected range of lightness.
New Final Cut Pro Logic effects
Take advantage of a variety of new Logic effects such as ChromaVerb, DeEsser 2, and Vintage Tube EQ. See Final Cut Pro Logic Effects for Mac.
Import Live Drawing animations
Import Live Drawing animations created in Final Cut Pro for iPad, then adjust the speed of the draw-on animation. See Import Live Drawing animations in Final Cut Pro for Mac.
System requirements
The minimum system requirement is macOS Monterey 12.6. For more information, go to the Final Cut Pro Tech Specs webpage.
