Control iPad with an eye-tracking device
You can control iPad using just your eyes with an MFi eye-tracking device, so that a pointer moves to follow where you’re looking onscreen. You can even perform actions—such as a tap—using an extended gaze. Some eye trackers also support input from physical switches.
Follow the device manufacturer’s instructions to connect your eye-tracking device to iPad (with the Lightning or USB-C connector, depending on your iPad model).
Complete setup using the device’s companion app.
Go to Settings
> Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch, then turn on AssistiveTouch.
To customize how you use eye-tracking, tap Devices (below Pointer Devices), tap the name of the device, then do any of the following:
Perform actions using a switch: Tap Customize Additional Buttons (if supported by your device).
Reach and activate onscreen items more easily: Turn on Snap to Item.
Fade the pointer away: Turn on Auto-Hide. When Auto-Hide’s on, you can set how long to gaze before the pointer reappears, and how visible it is when you’re not using it.
Do any of the following:
Change the color or thickness of the pointer: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control, then customize the pointer appearance.
Perform actions using extended gaze: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch, then turn on Dwell Control.
