Sync a Numbers spreadsheet across devices
You can set up iCloud on your Mac, iPhone, and iPad so that spreadsheets in the Numbers app on all your devices and in Numbers for iCloud stay in sync. That means that whether you create or modify a Numbers spreadsheet on your Mac, iPhone, iPad, or on the web, you see the latest version everywhere.
Sync a spreadsheet from a Mac
Make sure your Mac is set up with iCloud and has OS X 10.10 or later installed.
On your Mac, open the spreadsheet you want to appear in iCloud.
Do either of the following:
For an already-saved spreadsheet: Choose File > Move To, then click the Where pop-up menu and choose iCloud.
For an unsaved spreadsheet: Choose File > Save, then click the Where pop-up menu and choose iCloud.
Changes you make to the spreadsheet in Numbers for iCloud appear automatically in Numbers on your Mac, and vice versa.
Sync a spreadsheet from an iPhone or iPad
Make sure your iPhone or iPad is set up with iCloud, and your device has iOS 8, iPadOS 13, or later installed.
Create a spreadsheet using the Numbers app on your iPhone or iPad.
The spreadsheet automatically appears in Numbers for iCloud.

Note: Forms in a Numbers for iOS spreadsheet are hidden when you open the spreadsheet in Numbers for iCloud. However, in Numbers for iCloud you can edit a table linked to a form, and those edits appear in the form when you open the spreadsheet in Numbers for iOS. Understanding syncing symbols in Numbers for iCloud
Occasionally, syncing symbols appear in a spreadsheet’s thumbnail in the spreadsheet manager.
If you see , an upload to iCloud is in progress.
If you see , the upload failed.
If you can’t open a spreadsheet in the spreadsheet manager, and either symbol appears in the spreadsheet’s thumbnail, make sure the device used to create the spreadsheet is connected to the internet and set up with iCloud.
