What’s new in tvOS 13 for Apple TV
Here are some of the new features and enhancements in the latest version of tvOS. Not all features and content are available in all countries or regions.
New Home screen designed for discovery
The newly reimagined Home screen puts all your favourite apps front and centre, and it features full-screen video previews that pull you into new films, the latest music and top-rated games. See Customise the Apple TV Home screen.
Apple’s new gaming service features original games designed by some of the world’s most innovative game developers. Of course, the best place to experience Apple Arcade is on your big screen and Apple TV, which now supports even more game controllers, including the PlayStation DualShock 4 and Xbox Wireless Controller with Bluetooth. See Find games in the Apple Arcade.
Apple TV now features unique profiles for every member of your household with an Apple ID. Sign in to get Up Next lists, music collections and recommendations tailored to you. See Set up multiple users on Apple TV.
The new Control Centre panel gives you quick access to settings and controls for playing music, searching for content, switching between users, putting Apple TV to sleep and more. See Use tvOS Control Centre.
New screen savers
Apple has partnered with the BBC Natural History Unit to capture stunningly immersive underwater videos — filmed in mesmerising 4K HDR — from bodies of water all over the globe. Go far beneath the surface and explore a world that few have experienced first-hand. See Use screen savers.
