Collaborate with students in Schoolwork
When you share a collaborative file, you and your students can work in the same file at the same time. You can view and edit the file while your students are working in it, and add comments to provide real-time feedback and guide them along the way.
Schoolwork supports collaboration for iWork Pages, Numbers and Keynote files.
Collaborate with students
To collaborate with each of your students individually in their own copy of a Numbers file:
In the Schoolwork app , tap in the dashboard.
Tap in the To: field, tap a class if you have more than one, then tap to add your entire class or one or more students in your class to your Handout, then tap Done.
To set a different deadline for your Handout, tap Set a Deadline, then choose the date you want.
If you add a deadline to a Handout, any activities or work that a student submits after that deadline are late. Schoolwork displays to indicate activities or work submitted after the Handout deadline. Schoolwork automatically sets deadlines to 23:59 local time on the day specified. To remove a deadline, tap .
Enter a title, then enter instructional text for your Handout.
Tap Add Activity.
Tap Files, then add your Numbers file (for example, Probability Lab).
Tap , tap “Each student can edit their own file”, then tap Post.
Each student receives their own copy of the Probability Lab file with their name prepended to the file name (for example, Leong Kevin - Probability Lab 2).
Collaborate and view each file while students are working on their activity.
Students can work in their own copy of the file, and you can view and edit the file while they are doing so to add comments and provide real-time feedback.
