Problems using User Enrolment with Schoolwork
If you have trouble using the Schoolwork app after you configured your device with User Enrolment using your school’s Device management service solution, try these suggestions.
If devices are configured with User Enrolment and your IT administrator sets “Opening documents from unmanaged to managed apps not allowed” on your device as well as your students’ devices, Schoolwork only displays iCloud Drive files for your Managed Apple Account. You cannot add files from your personal account to an assignment and your students cannot hand in files from their personal account.
Schoolwork is not supported if you install it from the App Store, configure User Enrolment and your IT administrator sets "Opening documents from managed to unmanaged apps not allowed." To use Schoolwork with User Enrolment and managed document restrictions, request that your IT administrator install Schoolwork using your school’s device management service.
If you cannot edit an iWork file and the file is not a view-only file, check that the iWork app is installed on your device. If the app is installed but editing is still not available, your device might be set up with a managed document restriction preventing Schoolwork from accessing the file. Request that your IT administrator install iWork apps using your school’s device management service.
If devices are configured with User Enrolment and your IT administrator sets “Opening documents from unmanaged to managed apps not allowed,” request that your IT administrator install apps that you will use with Schoolwork using your school’s device management service, in order to ensure that you can assign app activities and view student progress.
