Use spatial Persona (beta) on Apple Vision Pro
During a FaceTime call with others who have Apple Vision Pro, you can interact with their spatial Persona and hear each other with Spatial Audio, so it feels like you’re together in the same room. Spatial Personas appear in your space, so you can all move around, make eye contact, or even use SharePlay to watch movies together, play games, collaborate, and more.
Note: To use spatial Persona, you need visionOS 1.1 or later. See Update visionOS.
Turn on spatial Persona
During a FaceTime call, tap in the controls.
Note: This option is available if at least one other person on the call has an Apple Vision Pro.
At least one other person in the call has to tap before you see each other’s spatial Personas. Others on the call (who didn’t tap or aren’t using Apple Vision Pro) stay in a tile in your view.
During the call
When spatial Persona is turned on, call controls are available in Control Center.
You can use spatial Persona with up to five participants.
You and other participants can see each other’s Personas move around in space.
To reposition a Persona in your space, look at the Persona, then pinch and drag it.
The position of Personas changes depending on what you’re doing in the call. For example, if you watch a movie together with SharePlay, other Personas appear next to you (like you’re sitting next to each other in a movie theater), but if you play a game together with SharePlay, Personas may appear across from you (like you’re sitting on opposite sides of a table while playing the game). You’re still able to move around in your space and don’t have to stay in that position.
If you move the app you’re using (such as the Apple TV app), Personas move along with the window.
Turn off spatial Persona
Open Control Center, then tap .
The call continues, but Personas return to a tile in your view (and your Persona appears in a tile for others on the call).
Note: If one person turns off spatial Persona, others on the call aren’t affected (unless there was only one other person on the call).
