Add clips and photos to Magic Movies in iMovie on iPhone

You can add video clips and photos to your Magic Movie, either by recording new video or photos or by adding them from your library.

Record video directly into a Magic Movie

In the iMovie app on your iPhone, open a Magic Movie project.
Tap the Add button at the bottom of the screen, then tap Take Video or Photo.
Tap the Record button to begin recording video; tap it again to stop recording.
Tip: You can tap the resolution and frame rate in the upper right to change how the video is recorded. To turn on the automatic flash, tap the Flash button in the upper left.
Tap Use Video to add the video to your project, or tap Retake to discard the previous take and record new video.
The video is added to the bottom of the list in your Magic Movie.

Recorded videos are stored in your Photos library.

In the iMovie app on your iPhone, open a Magic Movie project.
Tap the Add button at the bottom of the screen, then tap Take Video or Photo.
Tap Photo.
Tap the Shutter button to take a photo.
Tip: To turn on the automatic flash, tap the Flash button in the upper left.
Tap Use Photo to add the photo to your project, or tap Retake to discard the previous photo and take a new photo.
The photo is added to the bottom of the list in your Magic Movie.

Photos you take are stored in your Photos library.

In the iMovie app on your iPhone, open a Magic Movie project.
Tap the Add button at the bottom of the screen, then tap Choose From Library.
At the top of the screen, tap Photos to choose a video clip or photo from your library, or tap Albums to choose a video clip or photo from an album.
Tap the video clip or photo you want to add.

You can apply a title style to your Magic Movie when you add a video clip or photo.
