Use Channel EQ in MainStage
The Channel EQ plug-in allows you to sculpt the sound of the channel strip. It is usually, but not always, the first audio effect. The graphic controls make it easy to view and change the audio signal in real time. For full details about the Channel EQ, along with some usage tips, see the MainStage Effects manual.
Use the Channel EQ plug-in
In MainStage, click the EQ area at the top of the channel strip.
The Channel EQ plug-in is added to the first available Insert slot, and the plug-in window opens.
Note: Shift-click the EQ area to insert the Linear Phase EQ into the first available Insert slot. Be aware, however, that the Linear Phase EQ takes more time to process your signal than the Channel EQ, which makes it less suited to real-time performance.
Do one of the following:
Choose a Channel EQ setting from the Settings pop-up menu at the top of the plug-in window.
To graphically edit an EQ band, drag vertically to change the level or drag horizontally to change the center frequency.
To numerically edit an EQ band, drag the number to raise or lower the value (or double-click, then type a new value).
To learn more about using the Channel EQ effect, see Channel EQ overview in MainStage.
