Import XF and XF-AVC media from Canon cameras with Final Cut Pro X
Final Cut Pro X 10.2.3 supports Canon XF and XF-AVC media when you install additional software from Canon.
Install necessary software
To import Canon XF and XF-AVC media, install the following software:
Use the Updates pane of the Mac App Store to install the latest Pro Video Formats software and to update to Final Cut Pro X version 10.2.3.
Download and install the Canon Plug-in 3.1 for Final Cut Pro X from the Canon support website.
Supported cameras
This plug-in works with the Canon XC10, EOS C300 Mark II, and the XF series of cameras. To see if you can use your XF and XF-AVC footage in Final Cut Pro X, check the list of cameras supported by Final Cut Pro X.
