Removal

  1. Use the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to remove one 3IP screw (923-03447) from the left side of the front input/output (I/O) board bracket.

  2. Use the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to remove two 3IP screws (923-03448) from the antenna coaxial cable routing clips attached to the front plate.

  3. Slightly rotate the front I/O board bracket as shown to access the 3IP screw on the right side of the bracket. Then use the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to remove one 3IP screw (923-03447) from the right side of the front I/O board bracket.

  4. Remove the front I/O board bracket and save it for reassembly.

  5. Use the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to remove the remaining two 3IP screws (923-03448) from the antenna coaxial cable grounding clips attached to the front plate.

  6. Gently peel the tape on the antenna coaxial cables and power button flex cable off the housing.

    • Important: If needed, lift the end of the power button flex cable off the connector to remove the tape.

  7. Use the 0.3-1.2 Nm adjustable torque driver and 8IP bit to remove the two 8IP screws (923-03881), one from each side of the housing.

  8. Use the T3 screwdriver to remove the four middle 3IP screws (923-03882) (1) from the front plate.

  9. Use the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 5IP bit to remove the eight outer 5IP screws (923-03879) (2) from the front plate.

  10. Gently route the antenna coaxial cables through the hole in the front plate as shown. Then remove the antenna from the front plate.

  11. Repeat step 10 to remove the second antenna from the other side of the front plate.

Reassembly

  1. Gently route the antenna coaxial cables through the hole in the front plate as shown. Then position the antenna in the front plate.

  2. Repeat step 1 to position the second antenna in the other side of the front plate. Then continue to step 3.

  3. Use the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 5IP bit to partially reinstall the eight outer 5IP screws (923-03879) (1) into the front plate.

  4. Use the T3 screwdriver to partially reinstall the two outer middle 3IP screws (923-03882) (2) into the front plate.

  5. Use the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to partially reinstall the two inner middle 3IP screws (923-03882) (3) into the front plate.

  6. Inspect the antennas to ensure alignment. Ensure that the space between each antenna and the front plate is equal around the edges of the antennas.

  7. Set the torque value of the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 22 Ncm. Then use the adjustable torque driver and 5IP bit to fully reinstall the eight outer 5IP screws (1) into the front plate.

  8. Use the T3 screwdriver to fully reinstall the two outer middle 3IP screws (2) into the front plate.

  9. Set the torque value of the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 13 Ncm. Then use the adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to fully reinstall the two inner middle 3IP screws (3) into the front plate.

  10. Set the torque value of the 0.3-1.2 Nm adjustable torque driver to 1 Nm. Then use the adjustable torque driver and 8IP bit to reinstall the two 8IP screws (923-03881), one into each side of the housing.

  11. Slightly rotate the front I/O board bracket as shown to access the 3IP screw hole on the right side of the bracket.

  12. Set the torque value of the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 11.5 Ncm. Then use the adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to reinstall one 3IP screw (923-03447) into the right side of the front I/O board bracket.

  13. Set the torque value of the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 13 Ncm. Then use the adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to reinstall the four 3IP screws (923-03448) into the antenna coaxial cable routing clips attached to the front plate.

  14. Adhere the tape on the antenna coaxial cables and power button flex cable onto the housing.

    • Important: If disconnected during removal, press the end of the power button flex cable to the connector.

  15. Set the torque value of the 10-34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 11.5 Ncm. Then use the adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to reinstall one 3IP screw (923-03447) into the left side of the front I/O board bracket.
