Ultra Wideband information
Ultra Wideband is available on Apple Watch Series 9 or later and all Apple Watch Ultra models. The availability of Ultra Wideband varies by country or region.
Ultra Wideband must be turned off when onboard aircraft, ships, and in prohibited countries or regions by turning on Airplane Mode. To turn Airplane Mode on or off, press the side button to open Control Center, then tap . You can also turn Airplane Mode on or off in the Settings app
on Apple Watch. When Airplane Mode is on,
appears in the status bar. Ultra Wideband may not be used for operation of toys.
Australia: Ultra Wideband transmitters must not be operated within a nominated distance from specified Australian radio-astronomy sites. For further information about nominated distance, please refer to the Radiocommunications (Low Interference Potential Devices) Class Licence 2015 published by the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
