Set up iCloud for third-party apps on all your devices
You can use iCloud with third-party apps on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac. For an overview of what you can do with iCloud, see Keep third-party app data up to date on all your Apple devices with iCloud.
Note: Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID on each device. If you have devices where you’re not signed in with your Apple ID or that have the app’s iCloud feature turned off, your app data won’t be kept up to date on those devices.
Set up iCloud for third-party apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > [your name].
Do one of the following:
iOS 16, iPadOS 16, or later: Tap iCloud, then tap Show All.
iOS 15, iPadOS 15, or earlier: Tap iCloud.
Scroll down, then turn on the app. For some apps, you need to turn on iCloud Drive before you can turn on the app.
Some third-party apps give you access to the data they store in iCloud Drive. If so, you see a folder with the app’s name in iCloud Drive in the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
For more information on how to use the Files app, see any of the following:
