Family Sharing preferences with Purchase Sharing selected in the sidebar and, on the right, the account and payment method being used for the purchases.

Share with the whole family

With Family Sharing, your family can share purchases (such as apps, music, movies, books, and TV shows), subscriptions, and storage, and keep up to date with a shared photo album, calendar, and reminders.

How to set up Family Sharing

The Find My app showing a list of family members in the sidebar and their locations on a map on the right.

Know where everyone is

Whether they’re at band practice, at a friend’s house, or walking the dog, you can rest easy knowing where your kids are. When your family uses the Find My app, you can see each other’s location on a map.

How to see people’s locations

Screen Time preferences showing how much time a child has spent using various apps. An icon next to Messages and FaceTime indicate those apps are in Downtime because usage limits for them were met.

Set limits

Your Mac includes Screen Time to help you ensure your kids have a safe and happy experience on the Mac. You can monitor and manage the time they spend on the Mac and in specific apps, and set time limits for apps.

How to set up Screen Time

Notification Center showing the button to turn Do Not Disturb on or off.

Schedule quiet time

When you need a little quiet, you can use Do Not Disturb to silence distracting notifications from emails, texts, or calls. At last, the kids can do their homework—or you can watch that movie—uninterrupted.
