Name people and pets in Photos on Apple Vision Pro
The Photos app sorts photos and videos of people, dogs, and cats in the People & Pets collection (or the People collection if no pets appear). You can name a person, dog, or cat directly from a photo or video in your library, or in People & Pets.
Name a person or pet in a photo or video
When you name a person or pet in a photo or video, they’re automatically added to your People & Pets album and matched with other photos and videos in your library.
Go to the Photos app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Open a photo or video, tap
, then tap Info.
People and pets you have named appear in the bottom-left corner. Unnamed people and pets have a question mark next to their picture.
Tap the person or pet with a question mark next to their picture, then tap Edit Name and Photos.
Tap Name This Person or Name This Pet, enter a name, then tap Done.
To find photos and videos of someone you’ve named, tap Collections in the tab bar, tap People & Pets, then tap a person or pet to see everything they’re in. You can also tap Search in the tab bar, then enter a name.
Change the key photo for a person or pet
Go to the Photos app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Tap Collections in the tab bar, tap People & Pets, then tap a person or pet.
Tap
, then tap the name.
Tap
, then choose a new photo to use as the key photo.
Tip: You can also choose any photo of them in your Library, tap 
Favorite a person or pet
Mark the people and pets that you interact with the most as favorites so that it’s easier to find them.
Go to the Photos app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Tap Collections in the tab bar, then tap People & Pets.
Pinch and hold a person or pet’s photo, then tap Favorite.
To favorite multiple people or pets at once, tap Edit, tap each person or pet that you want to favorite, then tap
at the bottom of the window.
Change names or labels
Go to the Photos app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Open a photo or video with a name or label you want to change.
Tap
, then tap Info.
Tap a person or pet in the bottom-left corner, then tap This is Not [name].
Feature a person or pet less frequently or not at all
Go to the Photos app
on your Apple Vision Pro.Open a photo or video you want to show less often.
Tap
, then tap Info.
Tap the person or pet in the bottom-left corner, then tap Don’t Feature [name].
Choose whether you want to feature the person or pet less frequently or not at all, then tap Confirm.
