View or download attachments in Notes on iCloud.com
You can attach items to notes by using the Notes app on an iPhone, iPad or Mac. You can then view and download those attachments — photos, audio files, maps, iWork files and more — in Notes on iCloud.com, as long as you are signed in to the same Apple Account.
View or play photos, audio files, maps and other attachments
Go to icloud.com/notes, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Select a note that contains the attachment you want to view or play.
If you’re on a phone or tablet and you don’t see your notes, make sure the notes list is open.
Tap or double-click the attachment.
The attached content is downloaded to your device, opened in the relevant application, or both.
View and download scanned documents
If you have an iPhone or iPad and you have scanned documents in the Notes app, you can view and download the documents in iCloud.com.
Go to icloud.com/notes, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Select a note that contains a scanned document.
If you’re on a phone or tablet and you don’t see your notes, make sure the notes list is open.
Do either of the following:
View the document: Tap or double-click the thumbnail of the scanned document.
Download the document: Tap or double-click the thumbnail of the scanned document, then select
.
To view and download another document, select its thumbnail in the Scanned Documents window.
View and edit attached iWork documents
You can view and edit Pages, Numbers and Keynote documents you attached using the Notes app on devices where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account.
Note: You need to be on a computer to edit Pages, Numbers and Keynote documents on iCloud.com.
Go to icloud.com/notes, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Select a note that contains a Pages, Numbers or Keynote attachment.
If you’re on a phone or tablet and you don’t see your notes, make sure the notes list is open.
Tap or double-click the attachment. On a phone or tablet, choose whether you want to View or Download.
A copy of the attachment is saved in iCloud Drive and opens in Pages on iCloud, Numbers on iCloud or Keynote on iCloud. To find out more about iCloud Drive, see Use iCloud Drive on iCloud.com.
Important: Any changes you make affect only the copy of the document saved in iCloud Drive and not the document attached to the note.
Note: In locked notes on iCloud.com, you see placeholders for attachments instead of the actual attachment content. To view attachments in locked notes, use the Notes app on a device where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account.
