Keep third-party app data up to date on all your Apple devices with iCloud
Certain third-party apps use iCloud or iCloud Drive to store data and keep it up to date on all your devices.
Access third-party app data on all your devices
When you set up iCloud for a third-party app, your app data is stored in iCloud, which frees up space on your device.
Because your data is stored in the cloud, it stays up to date anywhere you’ve set up iCloud for the app, including your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac.
What kinds of data do third-party apps store in iCloud?
Third-party apps can store many different types of information in iCloud. Depending on the app, this can include documents, creative projects, notes, game progress, favorites, and more.
If the app uses iCloud Drive to store data, the app may give you access to that data. If so, you see a folder with the app’s name in iCloud Drive in the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or the Finder on your Mac.
Regardless of whether or not you can see the data in iCloud Drive, you can always see how much storage the third-party app is using, and delete the data if you’re no longer using the app. See Check your iCloud storage on any device.
