Add notes to a score in GarageBand on Mac
In general, you add notes to a score by recording on software instrument tracks, as described in Record software instruments in on Mac.
Alternatively, you can add notes directly using the pointer. You choose the note value for added notes from the Insert pop-up menu in the Score Editor inspector.
Add notes using the pointer
In GarageBand on Mac, choose a note value from the Insert pop-up menu in the local Score Editor inspector.
Command-click at the point where you want to add a note.
You can also add pedal markings from the Insert pop-up menu. Select the Ped. symbol, then Command-click in the score at the point where you want to add a “pedal down” symbol, then drag the “pedal up” symbol to the point where you want to release the pedal.
Thanks for your feedback.
