Set up a 6to4 network port on Mac

IPv6 is a version of the Internet Protocol (IP) that provides more IP address space than IPv4. In most cases, you don’t need to manually set up IPv6. Check with your network administrator or ISP if you’re not sure.

If you need to connect to an IPv6 address and your network doesn’t offer IPv6 connectivity, you can set up a 6to4 network port configuration instead.

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Network in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Open Network settings for me
Click the Action pop-up menu , then choose Add Service.
Click the Interface pop-up menu, then choose 6to4.
Enter a name in the Service Name field, then click Create.
If you received additional configuration settings (such as a relay address), click the service you just created, click Details, click the Configure pop-up menu, choose Manually, enter the settings, then click OK.
