Configure an Energy Saver setting in Apple Business Essentials
You can enforce specific power settings for Mac computers, such as the amount of time before the screen dims, whether to wake the Mac when it detects network access, and set a schedule for the Mac to start up, sleep, or shut down.
When you configure additional settings for Mac laptop computers, those settings are ignored on Mac desktop computers.
See Save energy on your Mac in the macOS User Guide.
In Apple Business Essentials, sign in with a user that has the role of Administrator.
Select Settings
in the sidebar, then select All Settings.
This setting is available only for macOS.
Select the Add button
next to Energy Saver
, then set any of the following:
Both desktop and laptop Mac computers:
Power Nap
Schedule Startup or Wake times, and Sleep or Shut down times
Wake for network access
Put the Mac to sleep after a certain period of time
Turn the display off after a certain period of time
Desktop Mac–only options:
Restart the Mac after a power failure
Select Save.
