
Manage sharing for files and folders in iCloud Drive on iCloud.com
After you share a file or folder, you can add or remove participants, change the sharing options, or stop sharing. If you’re a participant, you can remove yourself, and you may be able to add or remove other participants.

Manage sharing if you’re the owner
If you own a file or folder, you can manage participants and sharing settings.
Note: You can’t change the sharing settings for an individual file in a shared folder. You must change the settings of the folder.
Go to icloud.com/iclouddrive, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Do any of the following:
On a phone or tablet: Tap
next to the file or folder you want to manage.On a computer: Hold the pointer over the file or folder you want to share, then click
.
Choose Manage Shared File or Manage Shared Folder, then do any of the following:
Add participants: Select Share With More People.
Remove participants from a privately shared item: Select
next to the person’s name (on a computer, hold the pointer over the person’s name until
appears), then choose Remove Access.Edit sharing options for a participant of a privately shared item: Select
next to the person’s name (on a computer, hold the pointer over the person’s name until
appears), then choose an access level (Can Make Changes or View Only).Edit sharing options for everyone: Below Permissions, choose a sharing option (Anyone or Invited People) and access level (Can Make Changes or View Only).
Copy the link to the shared file or folder: Select Copy Link.

Add or remove people if you’re a participant
If the owner of a file or folder allows it, participants can add or remove other people from a shared file or folder. However, they can’t manage the sharing settings of the people they add, and they can’t remove the owner.
Go to icloud.com/iclouddrive, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Do any of the following:

Choose Manage Shared File or Manage Shared Folder, then do any of the following:
Add participants: Select Share With More People.
Remove participants: Select

Remove yourself from a shared file or folder
If you’re a participant, you can remove yourself from a shared file or folder.
Go to icloud.com/iclouddrive, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Do any of the following:

Choose Manage Shared File or Manage Shared Folder.

next to your name (on a computer, hold the pointer over your name until
appears), then choose Remove Yourself.Select

Stop sharing files or folders
You must be the owner of the shared file or folder to stop sharing it.
Go to icloud.com/iclouddrive, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Do any of the following:

next to the file or folder you want to manage.On a computer: Hold the pointer over the file or folder you want to manage, then click

Choose Manage Shared File or Manage Shared Folder, then do one of the following:
Stop sharing with all participants: Select Stop Sharing.
Stop sharing with just one participant: Select
next to the person’s name (on a computer, hold the pointer over the person’s name until
appears), then choose Remove Access.

If you stop sharing or delete a shared folder, the participants can no longer view or edit the files in the folder.
To stop sharing a file in a shared folder without changing the folder settings, move the file to a folder you haven’t shared.
If you have shared Pages, Numbers, or Keynote files in iCloud Drive, you can view and edit them using Pages, Numbers, or Keynote on iCloud.com.
