Ange DNS- och sökdomänsinställningar på datorn
DNS-servrar (Domain Name System) kopplar domännamn till IP-adresser (Internet Protocol). När de används i kombination med sökdomäner kan du snabbt öppna webbplatser och servrar du ofta besöker utan att skriva hela adressen.
Exempel: Om du anger sökdomänen apple.com och skriver ”store” i din webbläsare tas du till store.apple.com. Om du använder campus.university.edu som sökdomän kan du skriva ”server1” i dialogrutan Anslut till server i Finder för att ansluta till server1.campus.university.edu.
Välj Apple-menyn > Systeminställningar på datorn och klicka på Nätverk.
Markera nätverksanslutningstjänsten du vill använda i listan till vänster, t.ex. Wi-Fi eller Ethernet, och klicka sedan på Avancerat.
Klicka på DNS och sedan på lägg till-knappen längst ned i DNS-serverlistan. Ange IPv4- eller IPv6-adressen för DNS-servern.
Klicka på lägg till-knappen längst ned i sökdomänlistan och ange sökdomänen, t.ex. apple.com.
Klicka på OK när du är klar.
Domäner söks i den ordning du angett dem, och sökningen avslutas när ett giltigt namn hittats.
Använd sökdomäner av skilda omfång till att söka i en namnhierarki. Du kan t.ex. använda byggnad.campus.universitet.edu, campus.universitet.edu och universitet.edu.
