Create a Web Clip configuration in Apple Business
You can add Web Clips to the Home Screen of iPhone and iPad devices. Web Clips provide fast access to favorite webpages or links. For example, add the online version of the iPhone User Guide to the Home Screen by specifying the URL https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/.
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to create, edit, and delete device configurations.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Devices > Configurations > All Configurations.
Select All Configurations, select Add
next to Web Clips
, then enter a name for the configuration.Enter the link (starting with https://) that opens when a user selects the Web Clip, then enter a name for the Web Clip.
Decide where the Web Clip icon comes from:
If the website supplies an icon, that icon is used.
If you want to use your own icon, select a graphics file in .JPEG, .ICNS, or .PNG format no larger than 10 MB for the Web Clip icon.
The graphics file is automatically scaled and cropped to fit, if necessary, and converted to .PNG format.
Choose whether the Web Clip appears in Safari’s controls. If hidden, the linked page appears as a full-screen web app.
Choose whether to show Safari’s controls if users navigate to another website after opening this Web Clip.
Select Save.
