Search for plug-ins in the Mixer in Logic Pro for iPad
In Logic Pro, with the Mixer in Setup mode, you can search for a plug-in by name; then you can quickly add the plug-in to an empty plug-in slot or replace the plug-in on an occupied plug-in slot.
Search for a plug-in from an empty slot
In Logic Pro, with the Mixer in Setup mode, tap an empty audio, instrument, or MIDI plug-in slot, then tap the search field at the top of the plug-ins list.
Enter the plug-in name. As you enter text, the results list shows matching plug-ins.
To add a matching plug-in to the slot, tap the plug-in in the results list.
Replace a plug-in from an occupied slot
In Logic Pro, with the Mixer in Setup mode, tap an occupied audio, instrument, or MIDI plug-in slot, then tap Replace.
Tap the search field at the top of the plug-ins list.
Enter the plug-in name. As you enter text, the results list shows matching plug-ins.
To replace the existing plug-in with a matching one, tap the plug-in in the results list.
Search for and select a plug-in side chain source
For plug-ins that feature side chain input (such as Alchemy, Sampler, Compressor, Sculpture, and Ultrabeat), you can search for a side chain source from the Side Chain pop-up menu.
In the Mixer in Logic Pro, open the plug-in in Details view.
Tap the Side Chain pop-up menu in the plug-in menu bar.
Enter the name of the source in the search field. As you enter text, the results list shows matching items.
To use a matching item as the side chain source, select it in the results list.
