Add an outline around a layer in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
The Stroke layer style adds a customizable outline around the selected layer.
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, select a layer in the Layers sidebar.
Select
in the Tools sidebar.
In the Style inspector turn on Stroke.
In the Stroke section, click the first pop-up menu and choose an outline type:
Color: Adds a solid color outline around the layer. Click the color well and choose a color.
Gradient: Adds a gradient outline around the layer. Click the gradient well and choose a swatch. To customize the gradient, adjust the color stops in the gradient fill bar.
Pattern: Adds a pattern outline around the layer based on a source file. To change the source file, click Choose, then import an image.
Adjust the stroke width, color, and opacity with the controls in the Stroke section.
Click the pop-up menu with the line to further adjust stroke options such as style, position, and spacing.
