When you use Optimize Battery Charging, your MacBook Neo learns your daily charging routine, which reduces wear and tear on your battery and improves its lifespan. You can also conserve battery power in a few different ways, like using Low Power Mode or reducing display brightness.

Optimize Battery Charging This feature delays charging the battery past 80% when it predicts that you’ll be plugged in for an extended period of time, and aims to charge the battery before you unplug. In Battery settings, click | Use Low Power Mode This can be a good option when you’re traveling or away from a power source for an extended period of time. In Battery settings, choose an option from the Low Power Mode pop-up menu. |
Customize advanced settings Dim the display when your MacBook Neo is on battery, prevent automatic sleep mode, and turn on when to wake for network access. In Battery settings, click Options, then choose which options to turn on. | Other ways to reduce energy use You can conserve battery power by doing simple tasks like reducing your display brightness, closing apps, and disconnecting peripherals that you’re not using. |
