
Share files and folders in iCloud Drive on iCloud.com
You can share files and folders in iCloud Drive so other people can view and edit them.
Note: You can view shared Pages, Numbers and Keynote files on iCloud.com on an iPad, but you cannot edit them. See Pages, Numbers and Keynote on iCloud.com.
Share files and folders
In iCloud Drive on iCloud.com, tap Select, select the file or folder you want to share, then tap
.
Add the email addresses of your participants. Tap Share Options, then edit who can access the files and make changes.
Tap Share. A new window appears with the link for your file. Send the link, for example, in an email.
When you share a folder, only the participants can view the files in the shared folder. To invite more people to access the files, you must change the settings of the shared folder. You cannot select an individual file or folder within the shared folder and add participants to it.
Manage participants or sharing settings
You must be the owner of a file or folder to manage participants or sharing settings.
Note: You cannot change the sharing settings for an individual file in a shared folder. You must change the settings of the folder.
In iCloud Drive on iCloud.com, tap Select, then select the shared file or folder.
Tap
, then do any of the following:
Add participants: tap Add People or Send Link.
Remove participants from a privately shared item: tap the person’s name, then tap
and choose Remove Access.
Edit sharing options for a participant of a privately shared item: tap the person’s name, then tap
and choose an access level (Can Make Changes or View Only).
Edit sharing options for everyone: tap Share Options.
Copy the link to the shared file or folder: Tap Copy Link.
Tap Done.
Remove yourself from a shared file or folder
If you are a participant, you can remove yourself from a shared file or folder.
In iCloud Drive on iCloud.com, tap Select, then select the file or folder you want to remove yourself from.

Tap your name, then tap
and choose Remove Me.
Stop sharing files or folders
You must be the owner of the shared file or folder to stop sharing it.
In iCloud Drive on iCloud.com, tap Select, then select the file or folder.
Tap
, then do one of the following:
Stop sharing with all participants: tap Share Options, then tap Stop Sharing.
Stop sharing with just one participant: tap the person’s name, then tap
and choose Remove Access.
If you stop sharing or delete a shared folder, the participants can no longer view or edit the files in the folder.
To stop sharing a file in a shared folder without changing the folder settings, you can move the file to a folder you have not shared.
