Control access to hardware features, your surroundings, and more on Apple Vision Pro
Before apps use the Persona Virtual Camera, hand movements, and other features on your Apple Vision Pro, they’re required to request your permission and explain why they’re asking. For example, a videoconferencing app may ask to use your Persona Virtual Camera so you can share your expressions and hand movements with others. Apps are similarly required to request your permission to use various other features, including hand movements, your surroundings, Bluetooth connectivity, and devices on your local network.
You can review which apps have requested access to these hardware features, and you can change their access at your discretion.
Review or change access to the camera, microphone, and other hardware features
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.
Tap a feature, such as Persona Virtual Camera, Bluetooth, Surroundings, or Microphone.
The list shows the apps that requested access. You can turn access on or off for any app on the list.
Note: Whenever you record your screen, share your view, or an app uses the Persona Virtual Camera (including when the Persona Virtual Camera and microphone are used together), the Control Center button turns green. When an app or feature uses your microphone without the Persona Virtual Camera, the Control Center button turns orange.
