What’s new in Final Cut Pro for Mac
Final Cut Pro 12.3 introduces new features and enhancements, detailed below.
Generate Captions
Use Generate Captions to quickly add subtitles and easily customize their look to create accessible, ready-to-share content for social media and video platforms. (Requires a Mac with Apple silicon; available in U.S. English only.) See Generate subtitles automatically.
Auto Mask
Color correct or enhance your video with Auto Mask, which uses automatic analysis to instantly isolate recognized objects and eliminates the need for manual tracking. See Use the Auto Mask and Add an Auto Mask to a video effect.
Match Color
Instantly unify your timeline with an all-new, AI-powered Match Color tool that intelligently adjusts your color sliders to seamlessly blend different cameras, lighting conditions, and cinematic styles. See Match color between clips in the timeline.
Edit Detection
Analyze any previously edited video to reveal its edit points and automatically split it into separate clips with just a click. See Detect and restore edits.
Persistent two-up display
Accurately fine-tune your edits with a persistent two-up display that stays locked in view while you’re trimming with keyboard shortcuts in the timeline and trimming in the precision editor. See Show a two-up display in the viewer and Use the precision editor.
Share to Pixelmator Pro
Send a single video frame from your timeline directly to Pixelmator Pro with one click, streamlining your workflow for custom thumbnails and social media graphics. See Send a video frame to Pixelmator Pro.
