Intro to Apple Business
Apple Business is a unified platform designed to empower organizations with seamless device management, robust support, secure cloud storage, and powerful tools to enhance customer engagement and brand presence across Apple’s ecosystem. It combines the capabilities previously found in Apple Business Manager, Apple Business Essentials, and Apple Business Connect into a single, comprehensive offering, catering to both your internal operational needs and your external customer-facing strategies.
Whether your organization uses iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, or Apple Watch, Apple Business provides the tools to manage your devices, content, and brand identity effectively.
Note: Not all features are available in every country or region.
Run your business
Apple Business provides a complete solution for managing your organization’s Apple devices and digital assets, ensuring productivity, security, and support.
Complete device management
Apple Business is a comprehensive device management solution that allows you to remotely configure, deploy, and manage Apple devices. Whether your devices are owned by your organization or by your employees, Apple Business has you covered, ensuring your entire fleet of devices is managed. See Intro to device management.
Easily deliver apps and settings to your users, user groups, and devices using Configurations and Blueprints. Use Configurations to create security, network, and other settings. Automate the assigning of apps and device configurations using Blueprints. Configure once, deploy everywhere. See Intro to Configurations.
Automated Device Enrollment
Streamline initial setup without touching or preparing devices beforehand. You can automatically enroll devices in the built-in or third-party device management service of choice, as long as you add devices to your organization at the time of purchase—from Apple, an Apple Authorized Reseller, an authorized cellular carrier, or through Apple Configurator. See Enrollment methods.
Apps and Books
Managed Apple Accounts
Get apps and books licenses in volume and assign, install, and update them wirelessly to devices or users. You retain full ownership and control of apps you buy, and can revoke and reassign apps to different devices and users—in any country where that app is available from the App Store. See Intro to apps and books licenses.
Create and manage Apple Accounts for your employees at scale. You can use Managed Apple Accounts for account-driven enrollment workflows, and keep organizational data separate from personal data with robust management controls. With identity and access management, you can define what services are available to employees, and custom roles let you create accounts with the permissions you need to manage Apple Business. See Intro to Managed Apple Accounts.
By integrating with your existing identity provider’s (IdP) environment, you can provide Managed Apple Accounts to users using their existing organization credentials—for example, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, or your IdP. You can then sync user accounts. See Intro to federated authentication.
Professional email for your business
Get professional email on your organization’s domain and keep all communication in sync on devices or on the web. Simplify your email setup with Domain Connect—one sign-in and your domain is configured and ready for use. See Set up email for users.
Manage schedules with business calendars
After you set up email, you can keep your team connected and organized with business calendars, making it easy to schedule meetings and coordinate projects. Your employees’ business accounts come with calendar services that will sync events across devices and on the web.
Create a directory for your organization
After you set up email, you can help everyone stay in touch with a directory users can customize with their information. You can even add email addresses to user groups, making it easy to get in touch with colleagues. Through the directory tab in the Apple Business app, your employees will be able to customize their contact card with their preferred names and pronouns.
iCloud storage
Secure your business data and help maintain employee privacy with additional iCloud storage for your Managed Apple Accounts. This keeps storage, backup, and collaboration simple and secure. Plans include customizable storage with up to 2 TB per employee, allowing employees to access their documents and data wherever they are, and unlock seamless collaboration when they need it. See Add iCloud storage for users.
