
Reorder and delete activities in Schoolwork
After you add an activity to a Handout, you can reorder or delete activities until you mark the Handout complete or delete the Handout.
Reorder activities
Schoolwork displays activities in a Handout by upload time and date. You can reorder an activity by dragging it to a new location in the Handout.
In the Schoolwork app
, tap
Handouts in the bottom tab.
Do one of the following:
To create a new Handout, tap
in the upper right of the window, then add Handout details, activities and hand-in requests.
To edit an existing Handout, tap Recents, a class, Drafts or Favourites in the sidebar, then do one of the following:
Tap the Handout you want to edit, then tap
.
Tap
for the Handout you want to edit, then tap Edit.
Use
to drag an activity to a new location in the Handout.
For groups of activities, you can reorder activities within the group. To reorder a group of activities, tap
, then use
to drag the entire activity group to a new location in the Handout.
Delete activities
In the Schoolwork app
, tap
Handouts in the bottom tab.
Do one of the following:
To create a new Handout, tap

To edit an existing Handout, tap Recents, a class, Drafts or Favourites in the sidebar, then do one of the following:
Tap the Handout you want to edit, then tap

for the Handout you want to edit, then tap Edit.
Swipe left on the activity you want to delete, then tap Delete.
When you delete a shared file in an active Handout, Schoolwork removes access to the file based on how you shared it:
For a file shared with the entire class, all students and any other teachers contributing to the Handout lose access to the file.
For a file shared with students individually, any other teachers contributing to the Handout lose access to the file. However, students can still access the shared copy of the file in iCloud Drive.
