Play background sounds on Apple Vision Pro to mask environmental noise

You can play calming sounds—such as ocean or rain—to mask unwanted environmental noise and help minimize distractions so you can focus or rest.

Go to the Settings app on your Apple Vision Pro.
Tap Accessibility, tap Audio/Visual, tap Background Sounds, then turn on Background Sounds.
Set any of the following:
- Sound: Choose a sound; the audio file downloads to your Apple Vision Pro.
- Volume: Drag the slider.
- Equalizer: Turn on Equalizer, then drag the slider around the grid to adjust the frequency balance. Tap the Tone pop-up menu to choose Broad (a wider range of sounds) or Focused (specific sounds), or drag the Balance slider to adjust left-right sound balance.
- Timer: Turn on the timer, tap the Set Timer pop-up menu, then choose an amount of time or a specific time to stop playing background sounds.
- Use When Media is Playing: Adjust the volume of the background sound when Apple Vision Pro is playing music or other media.
- Stop Sounds When Locked: Background sounds stop playing when Apple Vision Pro is locked.
