Use screen readers with the Apple TV app

• Turn on the built-in screen reader on your smart TV. See your smart TV user guide for more information.

As you navigate using the smart TV or device remote, the screen reader speaks each menu or text item you select. To move to a new item in the Apple TV app , do any of the following using your smart TV or device remote:

• Move your selection in a list: Press the up, down, left, or right button.

• Move to a tab in the top menu: Press the left or right button to hear the name of the menu item, then press the center button to select it.

• Move to an item in a grid: Press the left or right button to hear the name of the item, then press the center button to select it.

• Speak a text description: Press the up, down, left, or right button to navigate to the description.

When you reach the edge of an area on the screen, the screen reader says, “End.”
